Superintendent

The  Centennial School District Board of Education in San Luis, Colorado, is seeking a highly qualified Superintendent.  The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position no later than July 1, 2024.

McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the governing board in identifying and screening the candidates.

 Enrollment:  180 Pk - 12

Location:  San Luis, 110 miles southwest of Pueblo, CO in the San Luis Valley

The Qualifications

 The candidate must have the experience, skills, and abilities essential for leading a small, rural school district. The Board recognizes that selecting a superintendent is one of the most important decisions it will make.

 The Board of Education seeks an experienced educational leader who:

  • Demonstrates thoughtful leadership and the ability to navigate complex issues.

  • Is visionary and innovative, and not afraid to take risks.

  • Understands Colorado school finance, law, and education policy.

  • Demonstrates strong communication skills.

  • Models effective use of technology.

  • Actively engages in the community and is both approachable and personable.

Additional Requirements:

  • Colorado administrative licensure preferred

Assistant Principal
